This project examines the visual impact of the Vietnamese Diaspora in Central Europe, and the merging of regional visual cultures within foreign environments. The celebrity noodle dish, Bún bò Nam Bô, in Czechia is centered as the lens of investigation. The projected sculptures are inspired by public facing bistro signage and modern recipe book formats. The 4 main ingredient types are cast in plastic and spatially displayed in the sequence of kitchen preparation.
As part of the opening, a dining experience with fresh ingredients was included to pair slurping with visual experience.
